Project Overview

This project adopts QM800W high-mast floodlights, with a total of 25 sets deployed for the football field complex in the Netherlands. The lighting system covers the main football pitch, sand training court and surrounding auxiliary access roads. It is a customized outdoor sports lighting project, designed to deliver uniform, comfortable illumination for night training and daily access, meeting European sports venue lighting standards.

Project Challenges

The Netherlands features maritime temperate climate, with frequent cloudy, rainy and windy weather all year round.

1. Strong wind resistance requirement: Open field with no natural shelter, the lamp structure must withstand strong coastal winds.

2. High humidity & rainfall: Frequent drizzle and high air humidity, fixtures need reliable waterproof and anti-corrosion performance to extend service life.

3. Balanced lighting distribution: Need to achieve even brightness on the main pitch, while also illuminating the peripheral walkways; avoid over-installation of lamps to control the whole project cost.

Our Solution

We selected QM800W high-mast floodlights for this project. Instead of densely arranging lamps around the whole pitch, we reasonably distribute the fixtures: partial lamps for the main football field and sand training area, and a small number of lights deployed along the auxiliary roads.

1.  Robust die-cast aluminum housing, IP66 waterproof rating, anti-corrosion coating, well adapted to humid and rainy Dutch climate.

2.  Optimized optical lens, uniform light output, reduces glare for players during night training.

3.  High mechanical strength structure, wind-resistant design, stable operation under strong wind conditions in open farmland venues.

4.  Modular lamp design, easy for later maintenance and replacement.

Project Result

After installation and commissioning, the lighting system delivers stable performance for both the main football pitch and access roads. Adequate and uniform brightness supports regular night football training. The lamps maintain stable working status under local rainy and windy weather. The reasonable lamp layout cuts redundant investment, achieving a cost-effective sports lighting solution for this multi-functional sports complex.
